No Longer in the Kitsch Bin

Thank You For The Music, the hit British musical based on the music of Abba and the Bee Gees, is finally making its way to Poland. The show is scheduled for St. Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, at the Kongresowa Hall in Warsaw.

Thank You For The Music pays homage to two of the world’s biggest acts of the 1970s. Both groups were spectacularly successful during the disco craze, each selling hundreds of millions of records. The music of Abba and the Bee Gees, having gone through a certain period of being consigned to the kitsch bin, is now popular once more.

The show will feature the greatest hits of both groups, including “Dancing Queen,” “Super Trouper,” “Waterloo,” “Winner Takes It All,” and “Night Fever” and “How Deep Is Your Love”. The scrupulous attention paid to getting the details right, including clothing and hairstyles, and recreating dance routines, is bound to take you back to the days when disco reigned supreme.

Show starts at 7 p.m.; Kongresowa Hall, 1 Defilad Sq., Warsaw
