Poland’s first Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) opened in the southern city of Cracow in January. The hotel is located on the banks of the River Vistula, not far from the historic city center and Wawel Castle. This is Hilton Worldwide’s third hotel in Poland, after the Warsaw Hilton Hotel and Convention Center and the Gdańsk Hilton Hotel, which opened last July.

“We are delighted to open our first HGI in Poland,” said Simon Vincent, Area President Europe, Hilton Worldwide. “The new hotel joins an expanding portfolio in the country and demonstrates the commitment from investors for our award-winning, mid-market brand. We are sure that HGI Cracow will be a success and look forward to welcoming guests.”

The six-story Hilton Garden Inn Cracow has 154 well-appointed rooms.

There is also a 24-hour business center and free wireless internet access. The hotel has a modern lobby, lounge and bar and the Pavilion Pantry store, which stocks a wide range of grocery items and beverages, is open around the clock. The restaurant serves breakfast, dinner and supper to order and room service is available in the evening. The conference area covers 300 sq m and can be partitioned into four separate rooms.

Hilton Worldwide rates Poland as one of Europe’s key growth markets. The chain has 78 hotels under construction in Europe. They are due to open in 2013.
