Randstad, part of Randstad Holding nv. in the Netherlands, is a leading HR services and temporary job agency in Poland. The company has 57 regional branches in Poland’s main cities at which over 400 of Randstad’s own staff provide services to over 1,000 customers and around 16,000 temporary workers.

Apart from HR consulting, Randstad is involved in a number of interesting human resources projects, drawing on the years of experience and expertise on the Polish labor market. One of such project is the Randstad Award given to the best employer in a given year, based on ratings from potential employees. The Randstad Awards were first presented in Europe 13 years ago.

The first Randstad Award survey in Poland closed with an award ceremony at the Olympic Center in Warsaw March 17. The most exciting and most anticipated moment of the ceremony came when the best employers received their prizes. The winner was the TVN television station. The runners-up were Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland and Vattenfall Poland.

This year’s survey in Poland involved the 150 largest employers and 7,000 respondents in all age groups (18-65). The survey identified the most decisive factors for people in choosing their jobs, such as a high salary, interesting job, friendly working environment, stable employment prospects and stable financial status of the employer, as well as the sectors which are considered the most attractive for employees, including heat and power engineering, the car industry and electrical engineering.

The next Randstad Award survey will be conducted next year and the new winners will be announced 12 months from now. The Randstad Awards look set to become a regular event for the sector in Poland.
