Hues of Provence
March 31, 2011
Article's tools:

The Latająca Gallery is until April 9 hosting an exhibition of the latest series of graphic works by Mathilde Papapietro entitled Hues of Yellow. The works depict sunflower petals arranged in different compositions and structures, shown with naturalist precision and sharpness. Dominated by saturated and sunny yellow hues, the pictures render the magical and happy ambiance of Provence, where Papapietro hails from.

Papapietro, born in 1967, is an accomplished artist who explores print making, digital graphics, photography and installations. Her works have been shown at exhibitions in France, Spain and several other countries. In Poland, they have been exhibited at the Zachęta Gallery and the Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw and the Łaźnia Center for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk.

Open through April 9; Latająca Gallery
