A Polish mobile phone operator Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa's (PTC) has withdrawn an advertising campaign that used images of the Russian communist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin after it provoked a high wave of criticism.

PTC’s campaign featured a drawing of Lenin in the style of Soviet propaganda with the command "Keep Talking!".

Older Poles remember that the former Soviet leader forged a communist regime that was later imposed in Poland against their will by the Soviets after World War II.

Among the critics of the campaign was Lukasz Kaminski, the director of the Institute of National Remembrance, which investigates communist-era crimes, who said it "irresponsibly trivialized" the crimes of Soviet leaders and the fate of their victims.
