Gov't party PO's support down, nearest rival PiS gains

Poland's governing party Civic Platform (PO) saw its voter support edge down by 1 ppt to 31% in January, while the main opposition party Law and Justice (PiS) recorded another 2 pps gain month on month and enjoyed 22% support, the latest survey from the CBOS institute shows.

Junior coalition Polish People’s Party (PSL) saw support slide by 1 ppt to 6%.

Support for left-wing Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) was unchanged at 8%. Leftist liberal party The Palikot Movement saw its voter support fall by 1 ppt to 4%, moving below the 5% threshold required for parliamentary representation.

The survey was conducted on January 3-9 on a sample of 1,227 Poles.
