Poland's rail freight carrier PKP Cargo posted an over PLN 340 million net profit and over PLN 370 million profit on sales last year, PKP Cargo said in a press statement, citing IFRS-compliant figures.

PKP Cargo's 2012 net profit calculated in line with domestic accounting standards amounted to some PLN 295.9 million, while revenues hit PLN 4.6 billion, the company said.

PKP Cargo is working on implementing international accounting standards with a view to its prospective stock market debut, the statement reads.
