This season at the Wielki Theater/National Opera abounds in premieres—the latest is Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot directed by Mariusz Treliński.

The powerful opera is regarded as Puccini’s masterpiece. In the hands of Treliński and set designer Boris Kudlicka, the Warsaw production promises to be spectacular. On May 4 and 26, Turandot will be performed in the original Italian with Polish subtitles. The cast includes Francesca Patane as Princess Turandot, Kamen Chanev as Kalaf and Katarzyna Trylnik as Liu.
