Poland's industrial output is seen declining by 3.5% year on year in January, after a 10.6% y/y drop in December, with the result boosted by the effect of working days count, the Economy Ministry analysts said in a statement sent to PAP Polish news agency.

"The Economy Ministry's analysts predict that in January 2013, thanks to, among others, two more working days than in January 2012, industrial output sold will be lower by 3.5% y/y," the statement reads.

Poland's industrial output decreased by 10.6% y/y in December vs. a 6.4% y/y decrease expected, on a monthly slump of 14.2%, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.
