The third Rat Race in Warsaw
April 28, 2011
Article's tools:

The third charity run "Rat Race" will take place on 28th May at 1 pm, at Pole Mokotowskie in Warsaw. It is organised by the Sue Ryder Foundation and the Foundation Maraton Warszawski. The registration fee will be donated to support the First Step Programme managed by the Sue Ryder Foundation and the Association of Friends of Integration. The First Step Programme helps those recently disabled to make the first step while coming back to an active life. Last year we collected 30000 PLN.

The race is aimed at companies and their employees who would like to participate in a fun but physically challenging activity for a charitable cause - to help those who have recently become paralyzed as a result of an accident. The run will take the form of teams of four professionals, mixed teams of men and women are permitted. In order to emphasize the purpose of the event the participants -primarily white-collar workers - on this occasion will not be taking themselves too seriously and must run in business attire. This means for men a suit or jacket and trousers, a shirt and tie, and for women a suit with skirt or trousers. For all runners a briefcase is obligatory and running shoes are recommended.
