China's CNEEC to appeal Tauron decision on tender
January 29, 2013
China National Electric Engineering Co (CNEEC) has said it will appeal against a decision by listed power group Tauron to select a consortium comprising Polish builders Rafako and Mostostal Warszawa as general contractors for the Jaworzno power block.
"Our company filed not only the most attractive offer in terms of price but also fully conforming with the investor's requirements," CNEEC said in a statement.
The Chinese company said it would appeal against the decision with the National Appeals Chamber (KIO) by Feb. 4. If that step proves ineffective, CNEEC will take the matter to court.
In a tender for the construction of a 910 MW coal-fired power block at the Jaworzno power plant, Tauron recently picked a net PLN 4.4 billion bid by a consortium comprising Rafako and Mostostal Warszawa.
