Listed IT group Asseco Poland is in the final stage of talks about taking over a Russian company with one crucial negotiation point left, and will start talks with other firms should the negotiations fail, CEO Adam Goral has said.

"We are still conducting advanced talks on purchasing a company in Russia," Goral told the PAP news agency.

"We are left with one crucial point in negotiations on which the signing of the final contract depends."
