Poland establishes diplomatic ties with South Sudan

Poland established diplomatic ties with the Republic of South Sudan in that country's capital, Juba, on Thursday.

The official act was signed by Polish Ambassador Plenipotentiary in Ethiopia, Djibouti, South Sudan and at the African Union Jacek Jankowski and South Sudanese foreign ministry official Charles Manyang D'Awol.

Jankowski said after the signing ceremony that the establishment of official ties between both countries was an important step in their mutual relations.
