Poland's purchasing managers' index PMI edged marginally up to 48.6 pts in January from 48.5 pts in December, staying below 50 pts for tenth month in a row, a PMI report by HSBC showed.

"The downturn in the Polish manufacturing sector continued at the start of 2013," however, "there were further signs of stabilization," the report reads.

Output was "largely unchanged," new orders fell m/m with only "a marginal reduction" in export orders and the weakness stemming mainly from the domestic market, the report said.
