The liberal Palikot Movement (RP) and the leftwing Social-Democracy for Poland (SdPL) plan a joint list for the next European Parliament elections, both party leads Janusz Palikot and Wojciech Filemonowicz said on Sunday.
The decision was made at the weekend's RP congress in Warsaw.
"We have passed a resolution according to which the Palikot Movement and SdPL will launch political cooperation, also in the context of the coming European Parliament election and local elections", Palikot said.
Asked if both groups will launch a joint election list Filemonowicz said that "by all indications yes".
Palikot said he was "sure" about the lists. He added that his overall plan was to link diverse leftwing groups into an alternative formation to ruling party Civic Platform (PO) and main rightwing opposition Law and Justice (PiS).
