Are Polish banks moving with the times? Are insurers and bankers keen to use “design thinking” techniques as they design innovation and new products? To what extent will the internet, portable devices and financial applications for cell phones and tablets influence the popularity of banking and bancassurance services? Answers to these and other questions were sought during the fifth Assistance Forum which Europ Assistance Polska and the Polish Bank Association organized May 24 at the Sofitel Victoria Hotel in Warsaw.

The event started with a presentation on the state of the Polish banking sector and the main challenges faced by Polish banks, delivered by Krzysztof Pietraszkiewicz, the president of the Polish Bank Association.

Guests attended a number of presentations and during one of these, they were able to see the full results of the third nationwide Assistance Survey conducted by the ARC Rynek i Opinia company. The findings clearly show that the number of people using bancassurance services is gradually rising.

The panel discussion which closed the forum tackled innovation in Polish banks and insurance companies and the use of “design thinking” in banking.

The Warsaw Voice was a media partner of the fifth Assistance Forum.
