Successful Women—Famous Mothers and Their Daughters was the theme of an event that the Employers of Poland organization and the Royal Prestige Club organized June 5 at the Egurrola Dance Studio in Warsaw. Through the event, the organizers wanted to show that mothers and their daughters could be best friends who enjoy their time together. The best example of that were writer Katarzyna Grochola and her daughter Dorota Szelągowska, who recently sealed their friendship by writing and publishing a book together, entitled Makatka. During the meeting, they read excerpts from their book.

Grochola and Szelągowska received an award for “mother-daughter friendship and the ability to cooperate on a professional level” from the judges, who were Ada Kostrz-Kostecka, the vice-president of Employers of Poland, Anna Mizerska, the vice-president of the Polish Professional Women Network, and Jerzy Mosoń, the editor-in-chief of Gentleman magazine.

Awards also went to the following mother-daughter duos: Dr. Irena Kamińska-Radomska and Dominika Grodowska, Jolanta Fajkowska and Maria Niklińska, Urszula Dudziak and Mika Urbaniak, and Nina Tyrka and Carmen Egurrola.

The main sponsor of the event was the Lux Med company, which prepared a Medical Beauty Zone where the attendees were able to have their weight, body fat and cholesterol levels checked. They also learned relaxation techniques for use while at work. Many were keen to take part in Latino Solo dance workshops conducted by dancers from the Egurrola Dance Studio.
