Poland to earn some PLN 1.5bn from sale of farmland this year

Poland’s central budget will receive in 2013 a PLN 1.46 billion payment from the state agricultural property agency ANR, which plans selling 125,000 hectares of farmland this year, the ANR wrote in a statement.
"According to the plan, external transfers of the agency in 2013 will total PLN 1.59 billion, of which the budget will receive PLN 1.46 billion and the compensation fund - PLN 133.5 million," the statement read.
In 2013 the ANR plans to sell 125,000 hectares of land, ANR said.
"In order to achieve such a result, some 200,000 ha will be put on offer," the agency said.
In 2012 the ANR sold 132,000 ha of land, with the average price per ha at PLN 19,288. The budget received PLN 1.72 billion from the agency, 8% above the plan.
