New Hilton Hotels in Poland

Article's tools:

Hilton Worldwide, one of the most recognizable hotel chains in the world, is expanding its network in Poland.

In May, Hilton Worldwide and Poland’s Port-Hotel Sp. z o.o. company, which owns the four-star Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Warsaw’s Chopin Airport, signed franchise contracts for the construction and operation of two Hampton by Hilton hotels at the airports in Warsaw and Gdańsk. The new hotels are scheduled to open at the beginning of 2013. Hilton Worldwide has been developing its chain in Poland since 2007 and its hotels include the Hilton Warsaw Hotel & Convention Center and the Hilton Gdańsk hotel.

“The signing of two agreements with Port-Hotel on the opening of our economy brand hotels at Warsaw and Gdańsk airports is another step in the development of the chain in Poland,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, Hilton Worldwide vice-president for development in Europe and Africa. “Poland is a strategic market for us and we have recently signed a number of contracts on the opening of new Polish locations for our Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton brands.”

The Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport hotel will be located 800 meters from the main terminal of the Chopin Airport in Warsaw and the hotel in Gdańsk will be built opposite the main terminal of the Lech Wałęsa Airport in Gdańsk-Rębiechowo. Each of the hotels will have 116 rooms furnished in line with the trademark Hampton by Hilton design. They will also have an elegant lobby, a fitness center, a public area with a business section and provide free internet access across the whole building.

In the near future, Hilton Worldwide is planning to open over 90 hotels in Europe. Poland is a strategic market for the company, which wants to build the following hotels: Hilton Wrocław, DoubleTree by Hilton ŁódĽ, Hilton Garden Inn Wrocław, Hilton Garden Inn Kraków Airport, Hilton Garden Inn Rzeszów, and Hampton by Hilton ¦winouj¶cie.
