Poland’s Prime Minister will carry out "a slight but interesting and necessary" change in the government line-up to be announced at the cabinet sitting slated for Wednesday, PM Donald Tusk wrote in a Twitter post.
On Wednesday "a slight but interesting and necessary correction in the government" will take place, Tusk posted on Twitter.
One certain change consists in the replacement of the PM's chancellery head Tomasz Arabski, who will become Poland's ambassador to Spain.
The changes are to pertain only to ruling-party nominated ministers, deputy PM and junior coalition party Polish People’s Party (PSL) leader Janusz Piechocinski said last week following his talk with Tusk, adding that the changes might be surprising.
Ruling party Civic Platform (PO) caucus head Rafal Grupinski said, however, that "no earthquake" was in the cards and that the changes would be "not too deep or not too numerous."
Back on February 1 Tusk said that Treasury Minister Mikolaj Budzanowski could lose his post if the government's restructuring of Polish airline LOT were to show insufficient effects in the nearest future.
Media speculation has included such names as Health Minister Bartosz Arlukowicz, Treasury Minister Mikolaj Budzanowski, Sports Minister Joanna Mucha, Transport Minister Slawomir Nowak and Justice Minister Jaroslaw Gowin.
