PGE & Energa Hydro buy wind farm assets from Dong Energy

PGE power utility and state utility Energa's unit Energa Hydro will buy Polish wind farm assets of Dong Energy Wind Power A/S for around PLN 1 billion, PGE said in a market filing.

PGE will take over 60.5 MW in operating wind farms and a portfolio of 555 MW in projects, including 130 MW in advanced projects. Energa Hydro will take over a 51 MW wind farm and 220 MW in wind farm projects under development.

The transaction, subject to anti-monopoly office's approval, is to be finalized in the nearest months of 2013, the filing showed.

PGE group held PLN 4.8 billion in cash and cash equivalents at end-Q3 2012.
