Poland should be prepared for launching the euro adoption process in 2015/2016, but need not make that decision at the time, PM Donald Tusk said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Years "2015, maybe 2016, seem a realistic perspective for such a condition of Polish finances which would allow for starting the path to the euro and a safe treatment of Poland by the fiscal pact," Tusk said.

But Tusk added that readiness is not the same as making a default decision.
