Additional performances of Jesus Christ the Savior
February 26, 2013

Barbara Wysocka
Owing to a huge popularity of the spectacle “Jesus Christ the Savior” which has recently premiered on the Przodownik Stage in Warsaw the theater audience will have an opportunity to see two extra performances on February 28 at March 1.
The spectacle bordering on a drama play, concert and performance is based on a monolog by Klaus Kinski – one of the most controversial and outstanding German actors, and was put on stage by a prominent Polish theater director Michał Zadara.
Kinski has twice declared his own version of Jesus Christ’s life. In his last live appearance he described Jesus as “one of the bravest, most free and modern human beings who prefers to be killed rather than rot among others”. Kinski has brought the figure of Jesus back to the alternative culture reminding us that Jesus never wanted to be an ally of any authorities and opposed all instances in which a human being is humiliated.
Actress Barbara Wysocka, drummer Leszek Lorent and guitarist Bartłomiej Tyciński are acting in the play to remind the audience why a settled society could not stand Jesus and chose to kill him rather than confront his words.
The spectacle was produced by Boska Komedia Festival and the Dramatyczny Theater in Warsaw
Scena Przodownik, 21 Olesińska Street
