Discover the Podlasie, Warmia and Mazuria regions
September 2, 2011
Article's tools:

Green forests, marshes and winding, picturesque rivers are all part of the Podlasie and Kurpie landscape.

Tourists value the peace and tranquility among the wilderness, full of birds and animals. It is worth visiting one of the largest open-air museums in Europe, which was established in 1927 in Nowogród. Only a short drive away is the Warmia and Mazuria region, also known as the Land of a Thousand Lakes. The land here is uneven, diversified with dense forests and over 2,000 lakes. Almost everywhere tourists can find hotels or private quarters. There are countless opportunities for visitors: walks through forests, boat trips, caneoing, paddle boats and even a “photo safari”, on which you can observe the wild animals of this region.
