PZU insurer struck a deal with its trade unions to lay off up to 630 persons in an employment restructuring effort from March to June 2013, PZU said in a market filing.

PZU and life unit PZU Zycie "signed an agreement with PZU and PZU Zycie's trade unions settling the conditions of group layoffs in the period between March 18, 2013, and June 15, 2013," the filing read.

"The restructuring will affect 3,145 persons, including employment reduction for up to 630 staff of PZU and PZU Zycie employees," the company added.
