The Foundation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (Mazovia Regional Financing Institution) has joined forces with the Polish Craft Association, the Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Main Council of Trade and Service Associations, and the Mazovian Chamber of Crafts and Enterprise to organize the 17th Nationwide Forum of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) Nov. 18 at the Chodkiewicz Palace, 14 Miodowa St. in Warsaw. The theme of this year’s forum is “Finance and Innovation in SME Development.”

The forum will focus on corporate development strategies based on innovation. During workshops organized as part of the forum, businessmen will be able to obtain comprehensive information on modern company management, tools to support innovation in SMEs and forms of financing and investing in SME development. The workshops will deal with the following topics:

Innovation in SMEs: business support tools for SMEs, including modern management systems, corporate strategies, customer relations management, efficient marketing and advertising; Financing for SMEs: forms of financing and investing in SME development, including EU grants, loans and guarantees, leasing, factoring and alternative sources of capital, such as venture and seed capital funds, the NewConnect market and Business Angels.

As part of the forum a competition called Enterprise Leader 2011 will be held, designed to highlight the most active and rapidly developing trade, production and craft companies and service providers in the SME sector.

Businessmen attending the forum will be able to visit information and consulting stands set up by financial institutions, insurers, consulting companies and business support institutions.

The 17th Nationwide Forum of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises will be attended by around 150 participants, including officials from the Ministry of the Economy, Ministry of Regional Development, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, the Polish Craft Association, the Mazovia Department of EU Program Implementation, and the Mazovia Province Marshal’s Office, members of parliament, businessmen, members of craft guilds and chambers, and reporters.

The forum will be held under the auspices of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council, the Ministry of the Economy, and the Ministry of Regional Development.
