Future inflation index goes up in March - BIEC
March 15, 2013
Poland's future inflation index increased by 0.1 ppt in March for the first time after seven months of declines, the Bureau for Investments and Economic Cycles (BIEC) said in a report.
"The index growth is slight for now, although in the recent months signals heralding the phasing out of disinflationary forces in the economy have been recorded with increasing frequency," the report reads.
"Out of nine components of the index, five worked towards further lowering of inflation, while four towards inflation growth," the report showed.
"The biggest impact on the indicator decline came from producers' expectations for price growth, which were higher than a month before," the report reads. "The percentage of firms which intend to increase prices on produced goods has been increasing for several months."
