Obsesja (Obsession) by Remus Theater comes back to Warsaw
March 15, 2013
Obsesja (Obsession), a Remus Theater performance dealing with the subject of discrimination, in an untypical way, will be shown in Warsaw again in March at the Laboratorium hall of the Center for Contemporary Arts.
The play, directed by Katarzyna Kazimierczuk, is based on true stories of people who have experienced aggression driven by racism. These emotional stories are contrasted by the beauty of distant cultures present in the music and choreography.
The actors of Remus Theater sing traditional songs from Morocco, Uganda, Corsica, Italy, Brasil and Balkan countries. The performance features such acclaimed artists as an Iranian visruoso of Persian ney flute Mohammad Rasouli and a Japanese butoh dancer Rui Ishihara as well as a Japanese traditional Nihon Buyo.dancer - Hana Umeda
The performance has been produced with the help of EU funds by Remus theater, which recently lost its seat due to a fire and is showing its newest production on various stages.
March 18, 20, 21,22, 24, 7pm – CSW, Laboratorium Hall
