A Warsaw’s restaurant Atelier Amaro on Thursday became the first in Poland to receive a Michelin star for culinary excellence.
"It's the first time ever a restaurant in Warsaw has received its first star. Atelier Amaro uses local produce to create innovative cuisine and original combinations which won over inspectors," Michelin said in a statement.
The restaurant located in a wooded area next to the Center for Contemporary Arts in the Ujazdowski Palace and near the entrance of the Royal Lazienki Park has been run by chef Wojciech Amaro and his wife Agnieszka Amaro.
It serves Polish specialties with an ultra-modern twist and does not have a fixed menu.
