Talisman E&E mulls exiting Polish shale gas exploration licenses
March 15, 2013
Canadian upstream company Talisman Energy mulls withdrawing from further shale gas exploration activities in Poland and may consider selling its licenses, the company said in a statement.
The company analyzes various options for its licenses, including sale of its shale gas permits, the statement read.
The potential decision to exit the Polish market would stem from Talisman focusing on upstream projects in other parts of the globe, such as North America, Colombia and the Asia-Pacific region, the company said, adding that projects which ensure a faster return on invested means are set to be a priority.
Talisman holds three licenses in Poland where it conducted three exploration drillings last year.
