From the makers of the Academy Award-winning Peter and the Wolf comes a new movie entitled The Flying Machine, a tribute to Frederic Chopin on the 200th anniversary of the composer’s birth. The movie, made in £ód¼, combines animation with real actors to deliver an adventure story for the entire family, taking viewers on a journey in the footsteps of the great composer, using 3D technology, impressive animation techniques and special effects.

In the first part of the film, three children find an old grand piano. Locked inside by a spell is the spirit of Chopin. In the second part, a London businesswoman by the name of Georgie (Hollywood star Heather Graham) and her two children are transported along with famous pianist Lang Lang into an animated 3D movie where a mission awaits them to bring the flying machine back to Poland, the birthplace of Chopin.

The movie was made in £ód¼ in a huge studio. Over 200 animators worked on the production, including top animators known for titles such as Toy Story, Wallace & Gromit, Corpse Bride, Chicken Run and Jurassic Park.

The movie soundtrack consists of Chopin pieces played by world-famous piano virtuoso Lang Lang. M.R.
