They like to describe their music as Hard Truckin’ Rock, a sound that combines solid, mellow 1970s-style hard rock with stoner-metal and southern rock. Their drum and bass section, edgy guitars, Hammond organ overdrive and intriguing hard-rock vocals form a blend that makes Leash Eye a solid 21st-century hard rock band.

Leash Eye were formed in Warsaw back in 1996, but last year proved to be especially successful for them. In May, they played alongside Iron Maiden and Motorhead at the Sonisphere Festival and then won the Wacken Metal Battle Poland, which opened their way to the world’s largest heavy music metal festival, the Wacken Open Air. On their return, the group went back to the Sound Division recording studio to complete work on their V.I.D.I. album. The freshly recorded material drew the attention of the Metal Mind Productions label, which eventually released it Nov. 2. The album got rave reviews in leading music magazines and on music websites, becoming a fans’ favorite. Songs by Leash Eye got airplay on national radio channels and the group’s music video was shown on television.

With one of last year’s most interesting hard rock albums under their belt, Leash Eye will play two gigs in southern Poland on their Hard Truckin’ Tour, first at the Za¶cianek club in Cracow March 2 and then at the Kultowa club in Katowice. Soon after, on March 18, Leash Eye will perform at the third Warszawa Brzmi Ciężko (Warsaw’s Heavy Sound) festival (Proxima club) and March 24 they will be special guests of the Wacken Metal Battle 2012 at the Od Nowa club in Toruń. The band have also confirmed their first outdoor gig this year. They will perform as special guests of the American Cars Convention in Hrubieszów, southeastern Poland, May 26.
