German band RPWL, one of Europe’s most important progressive rock outfits, will play four concerts in Poland in late April. The Polish gigs are part of a tour promoting the group’s first concept album, Beyond Man and Time.

RPWL (the name is an acronym made of the original members’ initials) hail from Freising, Bavaria. They play what has been described as progressive rock with touches of art rock.

RPWL started out in 1997 by playing cover versions of Pink Floyd, but soon developed a style of their own. There are, however, still strong echoes of Pink Floyd in their sound.

RPWL play April 27 at the Eskulap club in Poznań, April 28 at the Oskard club in Konin, April 29 at the Progresja club in Warsaw and the last Polish date is April 30 at the Klimat club in Bielsko-Biała.
