The Art of Football

Article's tools:

The new Art Football 2012 exhibition at the Museum of Sports and Tourism shows how sports and art can inspire and complement each other. Featuring paintings by Piotr Pawiński, the exhibition was inspired by the Euro 2012 soccer championships which Poland and Ukraine are hosting June 8-July 1.

The 22 paintings on show are all the same size, which is a reference to the regularity of the stands at a soccer stadium. The players depicted in the paintings are shown in action. Pawiński conveys an artistic vision of action and competition and all the excitement that comes with these.
