The French Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Poland (CCIFP) June 20 handed out its Grand Prix awards to French companies that have made the largest investments in Poland over the past three years.

This was the fifth time the French Chamber of Industry and Commerce gave out its awards. The aim is to promote successful French companies in Poland and highlight what they are doing for their staff, local communities and the Polish economy.

This year’s awards went to a large company and a firm from the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector.

Among large companies, the judges singled out EDF Group, Poland’s largest foreign investor in the electricity and heat generation sector. At the end of last year, EDF Group announced plans to build a highly efficient 900 MW coal-fired power unit for the Rybnik power plant. The project is worth 2 billion euros.

The Sii company is this year’s Grand Prix winner in the SME sector. The company provides outsourcing services in information technology and production engineering and has been in Poland since 2006. The award is Sii’s second Grand Prix statuette from the CCIFP.
