Polish-Australian Wojciech Ihnatowicz, a LOT airlines representative manager for Australia and New Zealand, chats to Jolanta Wolska.

What brings you to Warsaw?
I come here every year to negotiate various tourist travel operations and possibilities between Poland and Australia with LOT and Mazurkas Travel.

What has made an impression on you during this visit?
The fact that Warsaw is under construction with the building of the second line of the metro. You can feel that it’s a huge investment. Even though I know that it’s disruptive and inconvenient for residents, it will be absolutely great.

What do you like in Warsaw?
You can feel that Warsaw is a global city, with tourists from all over the world mingling with the locals. I love the atmosphere along the Royal Route, particularly the section of Nowy ¦wiat and Krakowskie Przedmie¶cie. Foreigners feel at home here—you can sense that. I also like the fact that special celebrations leave their positive mark on the city—like the Year of Chopin. The Copernicus Museum is absolutely fabulous and the new National Stadium will also play a big role in attracting tourists to the capital for many years to come.
