This year’s International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) will be held Sept. 3-6 at the Targi Kielce exhibition and congress center in the southern city of Kielce, under the honorary auspices of Polish President Bronisław Komorowski. Visitors to the exhibition, now in its 20th year, will see cutting-edge military equipment. Awards will be handed out during the four exhibition days.

The exhibition will be attended by official delegations from around the world, a number of honorary guests, officials from the European Defence Agency and 400 exhibitors from 27 countries. In total, the organizers have invited 71 foreign delegations to the event.

Over the two decades since it was first held, the International Defense Industry Exhibition has earned a reputation as the most important military exhibition in Central Europe and the third largest in Europe after those held in Paris and London. Since 2005, part of the event have been exhibitions at which national delegations showcase the defense potential and the military equipment of their countries. So far, such national exhibitions have been held by Germany, France, Israel, the United States, Sweden, Britain and countries of the Visegrad Group. Italy will have its national exhibition this year.

The International Defense Industry Exhibition brings together potential customers and suppliers. This is where state-of-the-art defense and military technology and products are unveiled, where buyers can advise suppliers about what they expect and need and where business partners can meet to talk and establish new contacts.

Apart from exhibitions, the event also comprises presentations, seminars and conferences conducted by exhibitors and institutions which work with them.

The International Defense Industry Exhibition is an important event for the Polish defense industry, which is why it is always combined with a military equipment exhibition and presentation by the Polish army.

The best products shown at this year’s exhibition will receive awards.
