Bumar Żołnierz leads a group of companies that was established in 2009 as part of the Bumar corporation. The group’s establishment was connected with structural changes and consolidation processes taking place in Poland’s defense industry. The group brings together the activities of the following companies operating in the Polish defense sector: Bumar Żołnierz S.A., Fabryki Broni Łucznik - Radom Sp. z o.o., ZM Tarnów S.A., OBRSM Sp. z o.o., and PSO Maskpol S.A.

ZM Tarnów and OBRSM merged in July 2012.

Ryszard Kardasz, the president of Bumar Żołnierz, is also the president of the Bumar Żołnierz group.

The main goal of the Bumar Żołnierz group is to ensure the self-sufficiency of the Polish armed forces as far as integrated personal armaments and individual soldier’s equipment are concerned. The companies making up the group take care of the complete cycle of military production ranging from research and development through manufacturing to equipment delivery.

The companies making up the Bumar Żołnierz group boast extensive engineering expertise and experience as well as a long tradition of designing and producing systems and components of military equipment at the highest level of sophistication, modernity and innovation.

As the leading member of the group, Bumar Żołnierz S.A. is responsible for strategic functions, including the marketing operations of the entire group. It also sets strategic development goals, makes long-term research and development plans and handles international cooperation as part of domestic and European programs. Bumar Żołnierz S.A. also represents the group before financial institutions and the Polish Ministry of Defense as its strategic customer.

Bumar Żołnierz holds the following certificates and concessions:
- Concession from the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration for the manufacturing and sale of military and police equipment.
- NATO Commercial and Government Entity Code - Certificate of NATO Commercial and Government Entity CodeNCAGE: 2182H issued by the Military Center for Standardization, Quality and Codification
- Certificate of Management System—The certificate covers the following range of activities: domestic and foreign trade in goods, technologies and services of strategic importance to state security with observance of Internal Control System criteria.
- Quality Management System Certification ISO 9001:2008 and AQAP 2110:2009—The quality of the company’s products and services determines the company’s market success. Bumar Żołnierz provides its customers with products that meet their needs and expectations better than competitive products. By applying and continually improving its quality management systems complying with the ISO 9001:2008 and AQAP-2110:2009 standards, the company strives to increase customer satisfaction.
