Senator in Green Building Program
September 9, 2012
Warsaw's Senator office building, the newest project by developer Ghelamco Poland, has become an official partner of the European Commission's Green Building Program.
Senator is an environmentally-friendly office building in Warsaw that is in the process of certification under the BREEAM green-building assessment method.
The Green Building Program was launched in Poland in 2005. The aim is to promote energy efficiency in buildings. Office buildings aspiring to join the program must meet rigorous energy-efficiency requirements and go through a multistage assessment process.
The Senator building, on Bielańska Street, opened its doors in July this year after a construction project that was carried out in consultation with the heritage conservation authorities in Warsaw. The main tenant in the 25,000-sq-m building is fuel company PKN Orlen, and other tenants include Rabobank Group companies, Legg Mason, Euronet and BRE Bank.
