The Stara Cegielnia shopping center in the northwestern city of Szczecin, West Pomerania province, has leased 1,435 sq m of space to grocery discount chain Biedronka, which plans to open a supermarket there Nov. 15.

Stara Cegielnia offers 3,000 sq m of space and houses 17 retail outlets, including a Rossmann drugstore, a CCC shoe store, a pharmacy and a number of eateries. The center is in the Niebuszewo housing estate on Przyjaciół Żołnierza Street. The architecture of the building is inspired by a 19th-century brickyard that operated on the site in the 1870s and 1880s.
