Skanska Property Poland, a developer of green office buildings, has received a building permit for its Kapelanka 42 office complex to be located on Kapelanka Street in the southern city of Cracow, Małopolska province.

The office complex will be composed of two grade A buildings with a combined leasable area of around 30,000 sq m. Each building will have nine stories above ground and three stories underground. In the first stage of the project, Skanska will construct a building with a leasable area of 12,250 sq m and an underground garage for both buildings. The office complex is scheduled for completion at the end of the second or the beginning of the third quarter of 2014.

Designed by architectural practice Medusa Group, the complex will be built in keeping with the principles of sustainable development to minimize its environmental impact. The developer will also seek LEED green building certification for the complex.
