Roby Lakatos – the star of the XIX edition of the Viennese Music Festival.

Since almost two decades, every autumn in Wrocław it resounds music of Viennese sound-masters.

Waltz, polka-dance and other famous opera-aria, performed by outstanding artist, pleasant in perception. This year the nineteenth edition of Viennese Music Festival is conceived as a preliminary to next year’s anniversary edition. Such anniversary deserves for special attention and extraordinary schedule. Organizers are already working for expand the range of musical events, and decided to invite the new, younger generation to attend. Except from well known Strauass, Lehar, Stolz and Lanner, this year’s it is scheduled to meet modern view of Vienna, the city esthetic and a variety of styles. On the inauguration concert we were impressed by band of Roby Lakatos, the inheritor of magnificent tradition of a gypsy violin virtuoso, imperial and royal Austro-Hungarian pride. Artist from Budapest is well known international celebrity, he performers in the most prestigious halls. In his achievement there is recording albums for reputable record label called Deutsche Grammophon. Whole week of Viennese masters Festival in Wrocław is unquestionable contribution of Mr. Jan Ślęk, wonderful conductor, musicologist and ambassador of Viennese culture in Poland. In 2009 Mr. Ślęk was awarded the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Arts for Merit to the Republic of Austria by the Austrian president.
