Cradle of Filth, one of the most prominent bands in the history of black metal, will give two concerts in Poland this November. Hailing from Suffolk, eastern Britain, Cradle of Filth will play Nov. 22 at the Progresja club in Warsaw and Nov. 23 at the Kwadrat club in Cracow. The two dates are part of the band’s Creatures from the Black Abyss Tour promoting a new album entitled The Manticore and Other Horrors and slated for release Oct. 30.

Cradle of Filth play a blend of black, gothic and symphonic metal which music journalists describe as extreme metal or extreme gothic metal.

Formed in 1991, the band have released eight studio albums to date along with several other minor releases. They have also received numerous heavy metal awards. Cradle of Filth gigs often include acrobatics, pyrotechnics and fire breathing and the musicians are frequently joined on stage by female dancers and performance artists.

The support acts in Poland will be Rotting Christ from Greece and Norway’s God Seed band, both of which are well-known to Polish audiences.
