Histerie mi這sne, scheduled to premiere Nov. 8 at the Studio Buffo theater, is a new version of Luv, a popular American comedy from the early 1960s. The play was written by Murray Schisgal, who later wrote the script for the comedy Tootsie, starring Dustin Hoffman.

The new production stars Magdalena Boczarska, Szymon Bobrowski and Bart這miej Topa. Combining absurd humor with traditional farce, the show was a major success on Broadway and in theaters around the world.

The main character, Marian (Bobrowski), is a man with a plan to ditch his wife. Crossing a bridge in a park one day, he bumps into Piotr (Topa), a friend from years ago. The meeting gives Marian the idea of introducing Piotr to his wife so he can seduce her. Absurd situations, amusing mistakes and dark humor guarantee good entertainment.

Dusting off the original version, the producers have commissioned a new Polish translation from Bartosz Wierzbi皻a, famous for his brilliant translations of the Shrek and Ice Age movies and theater plays such as Boeing Boeing and I Love You. The new production is directed by Piotr J璠rzejas.
