Celebrating 20 Years Together at the BPCC Annual Ball Oct. 13, 2012, Sheraton Warsaw Hotel

This year the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) Annual Ball found a new home in the majestic ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel, with many additional attractions lining the rooms leading off from the main foyer.

Thanks to support from the evening’s main sponsor—HSBC Bank—and the BPCC’s 20th Anniversary partner companies (AstraZeneca, Atkins, BP, BSI and Provident) we were able to provide great entertainment in the form of an amazing band, 36i6, who really had the guests crowding the dance floor! In the foyer, guests enjoyed the thrill of the casino, tasted the delights of some exclusive whiskies in a whisky tasting run by The Whisky Society, were offered colorful cocktails by Chopin vodka and British beer from Legends Bar. Sklepcygara.pl provided cigars for guests, International Diamond Corporation presented their beautiful jewelry in glass show cases and additionally a Jaguar XKR stood in the foyer with guests able to “try it out.”
Ambassador Robin Barnett opened the evening with a warm welcome and a very hopeful speech regarding Poland’s future as an emerging European market, while Antoni Reczek, the BPCC Chairman and Joe Tunney, BPCC CEO, thanked all companies involved in creating the event and encouraged the 250 guests to have a wonderful night.

The festivities carried on until the early hours, with a magnificent Birthday cake appearing after midnight, and one lucky lady—Katarzyna Kanka from Link 4—discovered a diamond under her piece of cake. We would like to thank International Diamond Corporation for this great addition to the night.

The Charity Auction and Lottery jointly raised zl.21,320 and that money is being donated to the Sue Ryder Foundation. As always, we were completely astounded by the generosity of guests on the night and by the generosity of all the companies who donated such fabulous prizes.
