Most Poles support state-owned companies

Most Poles would like the biggest Polish companies to remain in the hands of the government rather than become privatized, according to a survey released Monday.
The study by Grupa IQS for business news daily Puls Biznesu found that 78% of people questioned wanted state-owned companies to remain in the control of the government. Only 8% of supported further privatization.
Most respondents, 56%, said they felt proud of Polish brands and products.
The combined value of state-owned companies in Poland is around PLN 198.7bn, according to Puls Biznesu.
