An exhibition of the winning entries and selected works from the 14th Airplane – Airport – Flying international satirical drawing competition in Zielona Góra is on show at the Eryk Lipiński Museum of Caricature and Cartoon Art in Warsaw.

The contest, organized by the Debiut Society of Art Lovers and the C. Norwid Public Library in Zielona Góra, a city in western Poland, has become a well-established event in the region and is renowned among both Polish and international caricaturists.

This year, the Warsaw museum hosts the post-competition exhibition for the second time. The panel of judges, chaired by Zygmunt Zaradkiewicz, a distinguished artist and director of the Museum of Caricature, chose 26 works from 930 submitted by artists from 45 countries. The Grand Prix award was handed to Russian artist Mikhail Zlatkovsky (pictured), First Prize to Bretislav Kovaric, a Czech cartoonist, Second Prize to Ewelina Soból from Poland, and Third Prize went to Grigori Katz from Israel.

The winning works are on display along with 80 of the best submissions from Polish and international artists until Jan. 20.
