Gas Trade Fair in Warsaw
January 31, 2013
A trade fair called the International Gas Show 2013 Exhibition & Conference will be held at the Expo XXI exhibition center in Warsaw March 6-7, marking the biggest event in the LPG, CNG & LNG sector in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Polish market for liquefied gas, with annual consumption at around 2.5 million metric tons, is one of the largest in Europe. Automotive LPG accounts for the biggest chunk of the market, at 75 percent, cylinders for just over 15 percent, and LPG tank systems for the remaining 10 percent. Poland leads the way in Europe in automotive LPG consumption as well as in the number of vehicles powered by this kind of fuel. At present there are over 2.5 million cars with LPG systems in Poland. This makes Poland a natural venue for the Gas Show, the largest in the European LPG, CNG & LNG industry. The trade fair is expected to attract industry professionals from countries including Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Albania, and the United States. There will also be participants from South American and Asian countries.
Leading Polish and European producers and distributors of LPG, CNG and LNG systems, car dealers selling vehicles fitted with OEM LPG systems, designers and suppliers of equipment for LPG filling stations, companies dealing with LPG storage and transport as well as producers of gas cylinders and tanks will all show their wares at the fair.
A number of accompanying events will take place during the two-day fair. These will include the LPG Exceptional Energy Conference, the Methane for the Transport Industry Conference, and the Autogas Meeting Point.
