Senior European Union officials, ambassadors, government ministers and executives from Polish and foreign businesses will take part in the 20th Economic Forum in Toruń March 4-5.

Also in attendance will be members of parliament, experts, science and culture leaders, politicians and local government officials.

The forum, which is one of the largest conferences on financial and business issues in Poland, will focus on key economic challenges facing Poland, Europe and the world in connection with the economic crisis and integration and globalization processes.

As in previous years, the main discussion will focus on cross-border economic ties.
Among the topics to be discussed are issues such as energy security in Central and Eastern Europe, innovation in the Polish economy, and the financing of investment projects. Guests invited to the discussions include former Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewski, former Polish Prime Minister and European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek, and Polish central bank chief Marek Belka.

A number of conferences, seminars, and meetings will be held in Toruń during the forum.
