Energa files IPO prospectus with financial market regulator
September 13, 2013
State-controlled power group Energa filed its issue prospectus with financial market regulator KNF on Wednesday, deputy Treasury Minister Zdzislaw Gawlik said in the parliament.
Poland’s Treasury currently owns 85% of shares in Energa.
Deputy Treasury Minister Pawel Tamborski said on August 23 Energa would file the prospectus mid-September as the Treasury planned to float the company by the end of the year.
Earlier Poland said it wanted to retain a 50% stake in the company to retain corporate control. Thanks to changes to Energa statutes turning 35% of company shares into privileged ones Poland has a greater flexibility in shaping the size of the offer.
